Visa
Italy belongs to the Schengen area. Visitors from other Schengen countries, EU countries and Switzerland do not need any visa to visit, live or work in Italy.
Nationals from some countries do not require visas for tourist visits of up to 90 days. For information about visa policy for your country refer to the website of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair or contact an Italian consulate in your country.

Money
Italian currency is the Euro (€).
The most used notes are 5 €, 10€, 20€ and 50€.
The eight euro coins are 1,2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents, 1€ and 2 €.
A bank service will be available at Garda Village during the week of IOI 2012.

Health and safety
Citizens from Eu, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland are entitled to receive direct health assistance as any Italian citizen, provided they have a TEAM (european health card) or an E106 form.
Non EU citizens visiting Italy for less than 90 days are entitled to receive health care under the payment of the fare established by the regional health assistance system.
A first aid point will be functioning at Garda Village and competition site.
Electricity
Electricity in Italy, as in the rest of Europe, is supplied at 220 volts alternating at a 50 cycles per second.
The standard italian socket is CEI 23-16/VII.
Socket at Garda Village is shown aside. It accepts some type of foreign plugs as the europlug (CEE 7/16).
Foreigners wishing to use their electrical appliances in Italy may need transformers and adapters.
Pay attention to check in advance.
Weather
In late september the weather in the area is still sunny and warm, with temperature ranging from around 12°C (night) up to 27°C (midday). Periods of rain could occur.
